Flashback Photo Studio
Hi, I’m Caitlin,
and I’m an American analog (film) photographer based in Vienna, Austria.
I enjoy capturing memories in the purest form through 35mm film - where the film is hand developed, printed, and individually scanned in high resolution to bring a feeling of the past to the present.
Prices & Packages
Unlike digital photography (which allows photographers to edit and shoot all at once with preset digital settings), film photography only captures what is shown in real life - no edits.
Have you ever looked through old family photos taken from an analog camera and noticed the personality of the photograph in comparison to today’s digital photos?
Each photo I take is handcrafted.
Due to being more sensitive to light, film photos are unique in technique and timing. The process to develop each roll of film, print them and scan them into a digital format also takes time and care; a much longer process than digital photography. As film photos are unedited, each photo is the most original and pure form of the moment.
*Note about “price/image”:
As film photos are special and not sold in bulk (like digital photography),
the price per photo is only for the photos that connect to your soul.
Each photo is hand printed for you, with prices starting at 10€ depending on the size.
Once chosen, you will receive the digital scan of those photos as well.

My Story
After taking a college class of film photography and being an intern at Foto Fest Houston (an international photography exhibition), I ditched digital photography and fell in love with film.
Years later, I started Flashback Photo Studio after realizing how much I missed authentic film photos for my own family memories.
There is something beautiful about capturing a moment that cannot be changed using analog film and that’s exactly how Flashback Photo Studio came to be!
